Arsenal have an interest in Romanian playmaker Gabriel Torje, as confirmed by the player's agent. Arsene Wenger could make a move for the "Romanian Lionel Messi" as soon as next summer, as the Gunners scour Europe to find the best young talent.
Whilst the Gunners were only rumoured to have only a small interest in the Romanian international, their long term ambitions have now finally been confirmed and Arsenal could make an offer next year.
Udinese currently hold the player registration after they signed him in 2010 from Romanian side Dinamo Bucharest, but the diminutive right winger will be allowed to leave for 17.5m GBP.
"Yes, it’s true Arsenal like him", the player’s agent Giovani Becali told Calcio Mercato.
"There’s nothing official. We can say that there have been talks, even when the player does not move. In January there is no chance that he moves. For June, we’ll see."
