Inter, Roma pick up points

Inter, Roma pick up points

Roma earned a last minute victory over Genoa thanks to another last-minute header from on fire defender Christian Panucci. Elsewhere, Inter defeated Atalanta 2-1 to stay on top - just ahead of Roma.

Honduran striker David Suazo opened the scoring after 10 minutes before Argentinean frontman Julio Cruz doubled the advantage in the 75th minute. Sergio Floccari narrowed the gap with a splendid volley six minutes before the break.

Christian Panucci's last-gasp header earned AS Roma a precious victory over Genoa.

With one minute left, the Italy full-back connected with David Pizarro's free-kick at the far post to head home and secure a hard-fought win.

Inter Milan are still on top of Serie A with 28 points but Roma are still trailing them three points behind.
