Atletico Madrid boss open to Fernando Torres return
Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has admitted that he is in contact with Chelsea striker Fernando Torres.
The talented striker made a name for himself during his spell with hometown club Atletico, before joining Liverpool in the summer of 2007.
Simeone, who was still a player when the Spanish international captained the La Liga giants from 2003 to 2005, has revealed that he still has a good relationship with Torres, and hinted that the club would be open to his return.
"Torres is always in contact with the team to wish them luck and occasionally sends me messages."Simeone said."He is delighted with everything that's happening at Atleti. How could he not want to return to the club where he was born?"
