Everton lead chase for youngster David Henen
Everton have wrapped up a deal to sign 18-year-old striker David Henen from Anderlecht, beating Arsenal and Man Utd to the player's signing. Henen is a very highly rated Belgian youngster, the latest export from this small country full of blossoming football talent.
Scouts from Premier League teams have gathered for the past six months to watch Henen in action for Belgian club Anderlecht, but apparently Everton have succeeded in their efforts to win the battle for his signature and agreed a deal worth approximately 3.95 million euros.
Henen, who has been compared with Cristiano Ronaldo, is a fast fleet footed winger who is expected to enjoy international recognition at some point in the near future. He spent last season playing on loan in France for Monaco's reserve team.
