Arsenal to sign Khedira in January?

Spanish news reports suggest that Arsenal will agree a fee for Sami Khedira this month and the German World Cup winner will move to North London in the January transfer window.

Khedira had been long linked with a move to the Gunners during this past summer transfer window, but a deal failed to materialise.

Arsene Wenger is a massive fan of the German holding midfielder and had already been locked in talks with Real Madrid for his signature since as far back as July.

Despite Arsenal's interest, Khedira has remained fiercely loyal to the Spanish club. After winning the Champions League title, Khedira had hinted that he would like a new challenge in another country. With just 9 months remaining on his current contract in Madrid, manager Carlo Ancelotti could be tempted to sell the talented midfielder now as opposed to losing him on a free transfer next summer.
