Man Utd to bid for Angelo Ogbonna

Manchester United's hunt for a new defender will head to Italy, as reports this morning indicate that Angelo Ogbonna is a target for manager Louis van Gaal. The 6 foot 3 centre back could be available for around 15 million euros.

United have struggled defensively so far this campaign and van Gaal is ready to spend big in the January transfer window to ensure that he snaps up the best defensive talent in Europe.

Ogbonna, who has been with Juve since 2013, has two years remaining on his contract in Turin. 

Ogbonna is hopeful that a move to Manchester United will boost his chances of international recognition, as he has only appeared 9 times for his country.
