Man City tracking Mario Mandzukic

Manchester City are reportedly monitoring Atletico striker Mario Mandzukic, with a view to a January bid for his services.

The Citizens boss Manuel Pellegrini is well aware of the club's lack of strength in the striking department following injuries to the likes of Edin Dzeko, Sergio Aguero, and Stevan Jovetic.

According to The Star, City are keen on signing a new striker in the upcoming transfer window, with youngster Pozo being the only viable option at the club.

The report adds that the club are having a look at Mandzukic, and could make a move for his signature in the New Year.

Mandzukic has been in good form for Atleti this season, having scored 14 goals in 22 games.
