Man Utd favourites to sign Charlie Austin

Manchester United are odds-on favourites to land striker Charlie Austin from Queens Park Rangers before tomorrow's transfer deadline.

The 26-year-old has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs this summer, but none have matched the R's asking price of £15m for the striker.

United are currently left with just one senior centre-forward Wayne Rooney following the departure of Javier Hernandez to Bayer Leverkusen.

It is now thought that the bookies have suggested that Austin could be the man to join the Red Devils before tomorrow's 6pm deadline.
