Middlesbrough near Dennis Praet signing

Premier League newcomers Middlesbrough are in advanced negotiations to sign highly-rated midfielder Dennis Praet from Anderlecht. The 22-year-old has been linked with the likes of Southampton and Leicester City in recent weeks.

Voetbal24 says Boro are close to securing a long-term deal for the Belgian international and the agreement could be announced as early as Monday provided the clubs involved settle on a transfer price.

Praet, who has made over 100 appearances for Anderlecht, previously caught the radar of Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur in 2015.

Aitor Karanka's side are also expected to finalise the £4m signing of winger Viktor Fischer from Dutch giants Ajax.
