Watford pursue Andros Townsend
Watford are the latest side to express interest in signing Newcastle United winger Andros Townsend. The England international has caught the radar of several top flight clubs following the Magpies' relegation to the Championship.
The 24-year-old has told manager Rafael Benitez of his desire to move on with a host of Premier league sides interested in his services.
According to The Mirror, Hornets boss Walter Mazzarri is preparing an approach for the Englishman, while the likes of West Ham United, Southampton and Crystal Palace are also keeping track on the developments.
Townsend produced a couple of memorable performances following his move from Tottenham Hotspur in January, and this earned him a place in Roy Hodgson's provisional squad for the European championships.
