Man Utd's Pogba deal being held up by agent fee

Manchester United's potentially world record breaking deal to sign Paul Pogba from Juventus is being held up by the fee being demanded by the player's agent, according to reports.

The Sun claims that the fee being demanded by Pogba's agent Mino Raiola is the final stumbling block remaining in Manchester United's move to re-sign the gifted midfielder.

It is being reported that Juventus are refusing to pay Raiola's 20 per cent cut of the transfer fee out of the funds they receive, and are demanding that United pay it.

And United are now trying to negotiate a reduced fee with the Dutch agent, feeling that his potential £18 million cut is too much.

In what has turned into the transfer saga of the summer, United's pursuit of Pogba has dragged on for weeks now.

It is thought that an agreement is in place between the Red Devils and the player over potential wages, and that there is an understanding between the two clubs that a fee of €120 million will be required.

So if United can come to terms with Raiola, the deal should be close to completion.

Pogba previously played for United as a teenager, but left the club in 2012, having grown frustrated at the lack of first team opportunities he was being given by Sir Alex Ferguson.
