United could move for Inter's Miranda if Blind or Rojo are sold

Manchester United are considering a move to sign Joao Miranda from Inter Milan, according to reports.

The Daily Mail is reporting that new manager José Mourinho is willing to listen to offers for both Daley Blind and Morcos Rojo during the current transfer window, and if either are sold, United could make a bid for Inter Milan defender Joao Miranda.

The 31-year-old Brazilian centre-back only signed for Inter from Atlético Madrid last summer and has enjoyed an impressive debut season at the San Siro.

However, it is thought that United have been monitoring Miranda for some time, having scouted the player during his time with Atlético as well as with Inter last season.

A move for the Brazilian may depend entirely on whether any of the Red Devils' current defenders are sold this summer.

Mourinho has already added to his defensive options this summer with the arrival off 22-year-old central defender Eric Bailly, who has been signed from Villarreal for €40 million.

Mourinho is also thought to be interested in Monaco's Brazilian right-back Fabinho, although any move for the 22-year-old could also depend on defensive sales, with Matteo Darmian's future at the club uncertain.

In a summer of extraordinary transfer business, in addition to Bailly, the Red Devils have also secured the signings of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, while a world record move for Paul Pogba is thought to be on the brink of completion.
