McNair in Demand

Manchester United's Paddy McNair will have a decision to make this summer with interest among the likes of Sunderland, Middlesbrough and Burnley. The Northern Irishman is free to leave Old Trafford this month after Jose Mourinho deemed him surplus to requirements.

The centre-back made his debut for United in 2014 with injuries sidelining several of the first-team players. He followed to impress under former boss Louis van Gaal, and this led to suggestions he could be a key player for United in the future.

However, in the season which followed, he struggled to earn playing time with Chris Smalling and Daley Blind keeping up with their fitness and form through the campaign.

Sources reveal that the player will be allowed to leave United in the transfer window with Mourinho willing to offload fringe players.

Sunderland are currently heading the queue to sign the 21-year-old whilst Burnley and Middlesbrough maintain an interest in his signature.

McNair has appeared 27 games for United till date.
