Chelsea have offered Cesc Fabregas to Inter Milan in a swap deal for Marcelo Brozovic, amid speculation that the Spaniard has fallen out with manager Antonio Conte, according to reports in Spain.

Spansh daily sports newspaper Sport is reporting that Chelsea have offered former Arsenal and FC Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas to Serie A giants Inter Milan in a swap deal that would see Croation attacking midfielder Marcelo Brozovic move in the opposite direction.

This claim comes after reports have begun to circulate that Fabregas has fallen out with new Chelsea manager Antonio Conte.

Fabregas joined Chelsea from Barcelona in 2014 for €33 million. The former Arsenal man was outstanding in his first season at Stamford Bridge as he helped the blues secure their fourth Premier League title.

But last season the 29-year-old struggled to find his best form as Chelsea’s title defence ended in a disappointing 10th place finish.

It is now believed that Conte is keen to offload the Spaniard, and a swap deal for Brozovic is seen as the ideal option.

Following the imminent signing of Portuguese attacking midfielder Joao Mario for €45 million from Sporting Clube de Portugal, Brozovic is thought to be available for transfer at Inter, and Chelsea would face competition from Juventus for the 23-year-old’s signature.

Brozovic was impressive for Croatia at the recent UEFA European Championship in France.
