Pogba vows to fight on after Man Utd suffer third straight defeat

The Frenchman has drawn criticism for his performances so far this season

Manchester United’s world record signing Paul Pogba has vowed to fight on, following the clubs third defeat in a row, suffered against Watford at Vicarage Road on Sunday.

French midfield star Paul Pogba took to Twitter following Manchester United’s most recent defeat to Watford at Vicarage Road last weekend, ensuring fans that the 3-1 defeat was not the result they wanted, but that they will “fight on” this season, as the Red Devils hope to resurrect their flagging title challenge.

After Being outclassed at Old Trafford by Manchester City in a 2-1 defeat nine days ago, United then went on to lose in their opening Europa League tie against Feyenoord in Rotterdam in midweek, before slumping to another loss against Watford at the weekend.

Pogba, who re-joined the Old Trafford club in a world record £89 million move from Juventus this summer, has drawn criticism for his performances so far this season.

The 23-year-old Frenchman has failed to register a single goal or assist for United this term, as he struggles to find a suitable role for himself within José Mourinho’s line up.

Pogba did, however, come within inches of opening his United account against Watford, when his thunderous 25 yard strike rattled Heurelho Gomes’ crossbar.

But with three defeats from his five games since returning to Old Trafford, many believe that Pogba should be doing more to justify his enormous transfer fee.
