Arsene Wenger expects quiet transfer window
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is unlikely to spend in the January transfer window unless a major injury crisis crops up. The Frenchman is confident that he has all bases covered for the campaign.
The Gunners had spent in excess of £90m to recruit the likes of Rob Holding, Granit Xhaka, Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez in the summer.
According to The Telegraph, the North London giants will seek to keep their squad intact in the second half of the season with Wenger content with the options in hand.
The likes of Hector Bellerin, Danny Welbeck, and Per Mertesacker are expected to return towards the festive period, and this leaves Santi Cazorla as the only long-term absentee.
Arsenal have been impressive form in the Premier League this season, but they still find themselves behind leaders Chelsea, who are on an eight-match winning streak.
