Chelsea Reignite in Romelu Lukaku
Chelsea is all set to reignite their interest in old boy Romelu Lukaku, this time, as a possible replacement for Diego Costa.
Antonio Conte has identified the Belgian striker as the ideal replacement for the unsettled Costa, who was involved in a bust up with his manager, over issues regarding the striker's weight and fitness.
Following this, Costa is unlikely to feature for Chelsea again; with Conte planning to make a move for the Everton forward during the ongoing transfer window.
Lukaku has previously featured for Chelsea for over three years before being sold to Everton by Jose Mourinho in 2014, after being seen as surplus to requirements. However, the Lukaku that left Chelsea was a far cry from the one who could potentially be rejoining them.
During his time with the Toffees, the Everton no.10 has not only established himself as one of the most prolific scorers in the Premier League, but also one of the best forwards in world football.
Lukaku is joined by Alexis Sanchez and Alvaro Morata, on Conte’s list of potential replacements for Diego Costa.
