Man City to move Jack Wilshere?

Pep keen onWilshere?

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola could be eyeing a summer swoop for Jack Wilshere after he heaped praise on the midfielder prior to their 2-0 win over at Dean Court.

The Arsenal ace, currently on loan at Bournemouth, managed to play through nearly the first half of the Monday night clash before he subbed due to a minor ankle problem.

Wilshere has had a whole lot of injury concerns over the years, but Eddie Howe insists that the England international's latest setback is not a major concern.

Pep had spoken kindly of the Gunners star in his pre-match press conference where he highlighted the 25-year-old's performance in a Champions League tie against Barcelona six years ago.

Wilshere is expected to return to parent club Arsenal at the end of the campaign, and the Citizens could lodge an attempt to prise away the player from the Emirates in the summer.

The Gunners had valued Wilshere at around £23m earlier in the campaign, and they will most probably have to offload their asset, should he fail to agree to a possible extension.

Wilshere will have just a year left on his Arsenal contract when he makes his London comeback during the off-season.
