Spurs interested in the 'new Gareth Bale'?
Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly joined arch rivals Arsenal in the race to sign Fulham teenager Ryan Sessegnon.
The 16-year-old left-back has turned heads in the Championship this season with an impressive tally of four goals and three assists in 19 outings.
According to The Mail, Spurs are confident of beating the Gunners to the player's services as they seek to groom the player into the mould of former ace and Real Madrid star Gareth Bale.
Mauricio Pochettino's side had previously lost out on Moussa Dembele 12 months ago due to a disagreement over the transfer price, but they will now have to cough up at least £15m to prise away the youngster from Craven Cottage.
Sessegnon, who is still on a youth contract at Fulham, has already earned five caps for the England Under-17 side. He was previously the subject of an approach from Liverpool during the winter transfer window.
