Vardy's goal keeps Leicester in the tie

On what was always going to be a difficult fixture, Leicester City return to England today with just a one goal deficit going into the second leg, and what could prove to be a vital away goal.

Some fans said that this was the biggest game in Leicester's history, and that could be seen on the pitch, as the visitors looked nervous in the opening exchanges, making a string of mistakes and allowing Sevilla to launch constant attacks. Kasper Schmeichel made several impressive saves to keep the game goalless, culminating in a saved penalty from Joaquin Correa. Before half time, Sevilla broke the deadlock, as Pablo Sarabia's inch perfect header beat Schmeichel as it bounced in off the post.

On 62 minutes, Correa made up for his missed penalty as he doubled Sevilla's lead and looked to put the Spanish side in complete control of the tie. However, ten minutes later, Danny Drinkwater teed up Jamie Vardy for just Leicester's second attempt of the game, which he tucked away to get that away goal that they so badly wanted.

Going into the second leg, Sevilla are still favourites to progress, but with 70 percent possession and 23 shots, they would have liked a bigger lead against a struggling Leicester side. The atmosphere at the King Power Stadium is sure to be great for the return leg and it could easily go either way, as both teams bid for a quarter final place.
