Koscielny happy at the Emirates

Arsenal's standing skipper Laurent Koscielny has insisted he is 'happy' with life in London amid speculation that he has been in contact with an unnamed Ligue 1 club.

The 31-year-old joined the Gunners from Lorient back in the summer of 2010 and has since appeared in nearly 300 outings for the club.

Koscielny inked a fresh two-and-a-half year deal earlier in the season, but this hasn't ended the gossip with reports claiming the Frenchman is frustrated with the lack of major titles.

Both Paris Saint-Germain and AS Monaco have been identified as potential transfer options for Koscielny, but the France international has brushed off thoughts over a home return.

"I have had no contact with a French club," he told RMC. "And even if I had one, I would have cut it short very quickly. I do not see myself coming back to France for the moment. I am happy with my life on and off the field. If my family and I are happy here, this is the most important."

Koscielny has been ever-present for the Gunners this campaign barring one league game, and he remains crucial to the club's chances of attaining yet another Champions League finish.

The Frenchman is due to be fit for the Liverpool clash on March 4 after having made a good recovery from a hamstring problem sustained in the 5-1 Champions League demolition at Bayern Munich.
