Roberto Mancini in line for Leicester job?
Former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has emerged as a potential candidate to succeed Claudio Ranieri at free-falling Leicester City.
Ranieri was sacked from the head coach position last night following a nine-month run which has seen Premier League holders teetering just above the drop zone.
Mancini has been out-of-contract since his axe from Inter Milan last summer, and according to Sky Sports, the Foxes have held formal discussions with the manager over the vacant role.
The Italian is not the only one in contention for the managerial post with former Chelsea coach Guus Hiddink and Franck de Boer also being listed as alternatives.
Mancini was earlier reported to be in London to discuss a potential move to West Ham United, and it is said that he could play the waiting game with Arsenal yet to resolve the future of Arsene Wenger.
Leicester City could find themselves in the bottom three by Monday night when they face an attack-minded Liverpool outfit at Anfield.
