Barcelona in contact with Angel di Maria

Barcelona have been reportedly in touch with Paris Saint-Germain attacker Angel di Maria ahead of a potential move to Camp Nou in the summer. 

The Argentina international is the second year with the Ligue 1 holders after joining from Manchester United for around £44m in 2015.

Di Maria had netted a brace during Les Parisiens' 4-0 Champions League, last 16, win over Barcelona earlier last month, and this appears to have impressed the Catalan giants, Le 10 Sport claims.

The 29-year-old is also open to the idea of playing alongside fellow compatriot Lionel Messi next season, and the move could be ideal for both clubs with Les Parisiens having previously sought to offload him in January.

Di Maria had been the subject of a substantial offer from an unnamed Chinese club this winter but he managed to snub their advances despite PSG's willingness to sell.

Should Di Maria make the move to Camp Nou, he will join notable names in Luis Figo, Ronaldo, Samuel Eto'o and Michael Laudrup who have crossed the El Clasico divide over the years.
