Liverpool to sign James Rodriguez?
Liverpool are prepared to lodge a club-record attempt to sign James Rodriguez, should they qualify for next season's Champions League.
The Real Madrid ace had been linked with a proposed move to the Premier League during the winter period with both Chelsea and Manchester United keen on his signature.
However, he opted to stay put with the European champions with a view to fighting for his place in the second half of the campaign.
Things have not changed for the Colombian over the past couple of months, and he is understood to be open to the prospect of a fresh move despite initially stating his ambition to remain in Madrid.
The Mirror reports that the Reds will seek to sanction a club-record move for the South American footballer, should they attain a top-four to the Premier League campaign.
Jurgen Klopp's side are currently placed fourth in the league standings with 56 points, but they still have to fend off competition from both Manchester United and Arsenal, who have two games in hand.
