Ozil open to all possibilities this summer

Germany international Mesut Ozil insists he is open to the possibility of leaving Arsenal in the summer after being singled out for the club's patchy form this term.

The 28-year-old has repeatedly revealed his love for the north London club despite being reluctant to extend his terms beyond the summer of 2018.

Ozil has struggled with illness and injuries over the past month or so, and this has not gone well with the club's faithful, who believe he has played a part in the club's recent downfall.

Speaking to Sport Bild, the World Cup winner admitted that he could consider a return home with his mother, in particular, wanting him back in the Bundesliga.

"I don't want to exclude [returning to Germany]. Many family members - my mother especially - would welcome it if I were closer to home. I still have a year on my contract and I love this club (Arsenal). At the moment, everything is still open," Ozil told the German outlet.

He also revealed that he is saddened at being made the scapegoat for the Gunners' showing, although he has contributed much during his spell at the Emirates.

Ozil, who has contributed five goals and four assists in the Premier League, is understood to demand a wage package in excess of £250,000-a-week in order to commit his future beyond next season.
