Atletico Madrid keen on Alexis Sanchez?
Atletico Madrid have reportedly emerged as fresh contenders to sign Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez in the summer.
The Chile international has failed to settled terms over a new deal, and this could urge the Gunners to sell him as he enters the final year of his contract.
London rivals Chelsea and Bayern Munich have been linked with summer moves for the in-form attacker in recent weeks, and according to AS, Atleti have joined the pursuit of the player's services.
The Spanish outlet adds that Diego Simeone's side could lodge a cheeky offer of around £35m, but the deal would be wholly dependent on the status of their transfer embargo imposed by FIFA.
Atleti are currently serving a ban imposed for breaking rules protecing under-age players, but they are hopeful that the Court of Arbitration of Sport will reduce their ban to restrict purchases for just one transfer window - winter of 2017.
Meanwhile, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has insisted that Sanchez is 'happy' to stay put at the Emirates despite the continuous speculation over his future.
