Arsenal seek to end Bayern interest with bumper deal for Sanchez

Sanchez could earn new Arsenal extension amid Bayern interest

Arsenal are reportedly prepared to make Alexis Sanchez one of the most expensive footballers in the Premier League this summer.

The Chile international has contributed an outstanding tally of 29 goals and 16 assists for the Gunners this campaign, and his influence has been crucial to the Gunners' quest for the FA Cup title.

Sanchez has been stalling over a proposed extension for a while, and this has seen him being linked with a move to Bavaria with Bayern Munich prepared to cough up with a £50m alongside £230,000-a-week in wages.

According to The Mail, the Gunners will make a strong attempt to keep hold of their leading forward with the club's hierarchy willing to compensate on their shrewd wage policy.

The north London club will reportedly offer the Chilean with a new bumper deal worth £270,000-a-week in order to prolong his stay beyond the summer of 2018.

Sanchez is likely to be livid with the lack of Champions League football next season, but the club are nevertheless hoping to convince him with the promise of spending big on new arrivals in the summer.

Arsenal will look to have a better end to a frustrating season when they take on Chelsea in the FA Cup final on Saturday evening.
