Premier League holders Chelsea could reportedly contest with Manchester United in the pursuit of Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic this summer.

A recent report from Corriere dello Sport suggested that the attacker could be on his way to Old Trafford this summer with United willing to part with a £39m sum for his signature.

However, according to Sky Sport Italia, the Nerazzuri are holding out for a sum of around £50m, and this has brought Chelsea into the radar ahead of this summer's transfer window.

The fallen Italian giants are hoping to utilise the fresh interest from Antonio Conte's side in order to gain a significant profit from the experienced winger.

Perisic joined the Nerazzurri from Wolfsburg for just £14.5m two years, but the club are nevertheless looking to offload his services in order to comply with the Financial Fair Play regulations.

The Serie A club are looking into an approach for one of Fiorentina's Federico Bernardeschi or Sassuolo's Domenico Berardi as they seek to find a low-cost replacement for the Croatian.

Perisic has netted 19 goals in 77 outings for Inter Milan to date.
