Everton are set to complete their third signing of the summer as AC Milan's M'Baye Niang closes in on a move to the Toffees.

The 22-year-old had a rollercoaster of a season as he started brightly for AC Milan, scoring three goals in the first seven games of the Serie A. However, a huge dip in form left him goalless for the next 11 games and he was eventually loaned out to Watford in the January transfer window where he scored two goals in 11 outings.

However, Everton manager Ronald Koeman saw enough promise in the youngster and wants to bring him to Goodison Park. According to the Express, a deal is extremely close to completion and will be announced in the coming days.

The report stated that Emanuele Giulianelli, a reliable transfer guru, tweeted that "Niang is a done deal" and that "he will have his medical tomorrow."

The tweet came after Everton's director of football Steve Walsh was seen in Milan to reportedly discuss a deal for Niang. The Frenchman then flew into Everton for a tour of their Finch Farm training complex.

Niang is set to undergo a medical in the coming days and make his move to Everton official.

This will be the third transfer of the summer for Everton after signing Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and Ajax's captain Davy Klaassen. Their swift movement in the transfer market is definitely a signal of intent from Koeman as he looks to break into the top six of the Premier League next season.
