Chelsea's search for a new centre forward could lead them to Bayern Munich and Poland star Robert Lewandowski, with the player's agent revealing that the striker felt disappointed with the Bundesliga champions this season.

With everything signalling that current striker Diego Costa will be on his way out of Stamford Bridge this summer, Antonio Conte's team is looking for a new man to lead their attack.

Romelu Lukaku emerged as their primary target, but it is believed that Chelsea are unwilling to pay the £100 million fee that Everton are looking to receive for the Belgium international.

Real Madrid front man Alvaro Morata has also been linked with the Premier League champions, but it would appear that Manchester United are winning the race to sign him.

Twenty-eight-year-old Robert Lewandowski spoke of his disappointment recently that he was left on the bench by his manager at the end of the season, when he had a very real chance of winning the Bundesliga golden boot.

Lewandowski scored 43 goals in all competitions last season and his agent, Maik Barthel, told Kicker that his client "was disappointed as I have never seen him before. He really hoped that the team would support him proactively.”

With the Polish striker feeling less than happy at the club, Chelsea may decide that now is the time to place a bid. However, he signed a new contract in December lasting until 2021, meaning that he will not come cheap.
