Thierry Henry issues warning to Arsenal fans after Chelsea performance
Arsenal legend-turned-pundit Thierry Henry has urged the fans to not get carried away following the Gunners' goalless draw against Chelsea last weekend.
The Gunners were slated for their dismal performance in the 4-0 defeat to Liverpool earlier last month, but they showed a vast improvement in the statement at Stamford Bridge.
Despite the positives, Henry has urged the supporters to keep calm as the club are still far off from lodging a strong challenge for the Premier League crown.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Henry said: “We said the same thing [progress for Arsenal] when they had the Man City win then we waited two and a half years to see it again.”
The Gunners are currently placed 12th in the league standings with just seven points, but a victory over West Bromwich Albion on Monday night will take them to the top-half of the table.
Arsenal also have a Europa League campaign to deal with following their fifth place finish last term, and they are likely to fancy their chances of going all the way, barring a challenge from AC Milan or a top European club entering the knockout phase.
