Megson wanted Elmander
Bolton boss Gary Megson has revealed that he made an offer for Swedish attacker Johan Elmander during the January window but the club balked at the offer of £22 million price that Toulouse slapped on his head.
"His club wanted £22million," said Megson in The Sun. "It was never going to happen at that price."
Elmander is regarded as one of the best young prospects in the French divisions where he is wanted by several of the larger clubs including Lyon and Bordeaux.
