Assuncao joins Al Ahli
Marcos Assuncao has joined Al Ahli from the UAE. The player had been playing for Real Betis for 5 years and had recently had his contract terminated by mutual consent after the appointment of new coach, Hector Cuper.
The 31 year old had offers from both Italy and to stay in Spain, but has opted for a move to Al Ahli. Before leaving, he gave a press conference in which he said goodbye to the club and fans, saying that he would not join another Spanish club.
