Keegan promises big signings
Newcastle boss Kevin Keegan has promised the club's fans that they will be trying their hardest to bring in exciting players to the club for next season. The Toon have already been linked with a move for Werder Bremen's midfielder Diego.
Keegan said: "We're looking to bring in three or four players who are going to set it alight in certain areas.
"I suppose we're still assessing the players we've got, up to a point. The bad news is that we've got a small squad, but the good news is that it's got a lot of quality, so I don't think it needs major surgery.
"I'm looking and learning every day in training. I've not been here that long, in spite of what it feels like.
"It's been eight or nine weeks, which is about 30 real training sessions. Days when you can do things."
