Wigan pair Julius Aghahowa and Salomon Olembe will be leaving Wigan in the summer for Turkish side Kayserispor. The Turks are ambitious and hope to sign the pair on a cut-price deal after both had been frozen out of Bruce's plans for the new season.

Bruce told the Evening Post: "It's in place for Julius and Salomon to move on, and it's fair to say they are on the verge of finalising moves to Turkey.

"Salomon is out of contract soon so he's going on a free while there will be a small fee involved with Julius.

"It hasn't worked out for these two here - it's a shame but that's football.

"I watch Julius every day on the training ground and that reminds me what a very good finisher he is, but in the games it hasn't quite worked out.

"We will wish both lads well when they go and hope they have a better time in Turkey."
