If Birmingham manage to grab a victory at St. Andrews against Champions League chasing Liverpool, this will be one of the finest results of their season and one that will contribute a great deal to their Premiership survival hopes. But Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has revealed he will not be doing his counterpart Alex McLeish any favours for this game.

Sebastian Larsson is poised to return to action. Olivier Kapo is also pressing for a place in the starting line-up.

Liverpool will be without the injured Fabio Aurelio for the clash while Daniel Agger and Harry Kewell are still long-term absentees.

Steven Gerrard, Fernando Torres, Dirk Kuyt, Javier Mascherano, John Arne Riise, Ryan Babel, Xabi Alonso and Jose Reina could also be rested.
