Strikes from Fernando Menegazzo and Marouane Chamakh made sure of the win for Laurent Blanc's men, who will try to deny Lyon a seventh league title in succession when they visit Lens next weekend.

Laurent Blanc's title-chasers were lucky to escape conceding a penalty to Sochaux after just 13 minutes when Souleymane Diawara's two-footed defensive tackle on Sebastien Grax caused uproar although a penalty was denied.
