Giggs savours glorious day
Ryan Giggs equalled a Man Utd record breaking 759th game for the club by lifting the Premiership title, and revealed his joy and the accomplishment that he shares with legend Bobby Charlton.
Giggs lifted his 10th Premiership title, a record of its own, and celebrated in style.
“It feels great. I’m not as bothered about individual records, this is what it’s all about – championships,” said Giggs.
“We knew it would be a tough game, and it was. We did well in the first half and got that first goal. Then it was a case of holding on.
“It was a great goal just to settle us down. We felt a little more comfortable after that,” he added. “Winning the league feels great, and hopefully we can win another trophy in ten days’ time.”
