Derdiyok to Premiership?

Swiss striker Eren Derdiyok has been linked with a move to the Premiership. The forward, of Swiss and Turkish heritage, has reportedly been the subject of interest from Newcastle, West Brom and Portsmouth.

Valued by his club Basel at around £4 million, the player is expected to be a very important player for the future of the Switzerland international team.

Derdiyok was the man who scored Switzerland's goal in the February friendly against England.

He has also attracted a lot of interest from Spain and Italy; but the front man would prefer to make the move to the Premiership.

There have been reports that Newcastle are keen on making him Michael Owen's future striker partner.
