Gomez staying at Stuttgart
VfB Stuttgart have moved quickly to deny rumours that talented German forward Mario Gomez could be allowed to leave the club this summer. Inter Milan and Barcelona have both been linked with the German international.
However, Gomez has been told there will be no opportunity for him to leave Germany at this stage.
Stuttgart general manager Horst Heldt said: "We've indicated to Bayern that we will not free Mario Gomez."
"In order to allow Mario Gomez focus on his Euro 2008 matches the club will make no further comment on this affair between now and the end of the tournament."
