France want Wenger as new boss

The French want Arsene Wenger as their new manager after plunging into trouble with a first round exit from Euro 2008. The stars of the team has voiced their support for the Arsenal boss, and this will be a blow to Arsenal's hopes in fighting back to be at the top of the Premier League.

Arsene Wenger was appointed as the boss of Arsenal in 1996, and he had always mentioned that he would like to manage his country one day. Only Wenger knows if that day has come, although three years without a trophy and financial constraints might force him out of the Emirates. The sacking of his close associate David Dein, the former director, was a shock for Wenger and it is not sure if he has fully recovered from it.

The French federation is reportedly discussing on the future boss, Arsene Wenger and world cup winning skipper Didier Deschamps top the list.

We don't know about the new boss yet, though it is sure that Raymond Domenech will be axed. The french team was a disappointment in the Euro 2008, having secured only one point and one goal in three matches.
