Ramos: No Barca Bid
Tottenham Hotspur manager Jaunde Ramos has denied any contact from Spanish and European powerhouse FC Barcelona for their highly rated striker Dimitar Berbatov.
There have been reports in the Spanish and English press about Barca launching a bid for Berbatov. The player himself is said to be eager to leave the White Hart Lane for a higher club.
But Spurs boss Dimitar Berbatov now says that Spurs have received no such notification from Barcelona and explained their own transfer policy this summer.
"Nobody from Barça has asked me about Berbatov. There has been no movement on that front. All I know is what I read in the papers," he told Sport.
"We will have to wait and see what happens. It is a question of waiting a bit more and then we wil see how things turn out.
"All I can say about that is that I know nothing about it either. We have a list of forwards and we are working on that, not on what journalists or agents are saying.
"Many things have been said and half of them are just not true. The representatives are doing their job at this stage. "
