Villa signing sees coach quit

The boss of UAG Tecos has quit the club in protest at the sale of Argentinian striker Emanuel Villa. Derby County snapped up the Argentinian striker for £2 million, but Cesar Luis Menotti quit his post in disgust at the sale.

"Menotti quit his post at the end of the week over the departure of Villa," said club president Antonio Leono.

The 25-year-old striker had been the Mexican club's top scorer with 10 goals from 28 appearances this season.

Cesar Luis Menotti was in charge of Argentina when they won the World Cup in 1978 and also coached Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
