Jack Wilshere suffers fresh injury blow
Former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has suffered a fresh injury blow with West Ham United after sustaining an ankle problem which has required an operation.
The England international made his switch to the Hammers after spending a decade with the Gunners first-team but his beginning with the east London side has not gone as planned.
According to The Times, the Stevenage-born ace is expected to miss up to six weeks of first-team action with the Capital outfit after undergoing a surgery for an ankle issue.
In his absence, the Hammers managed to end a four-match losing run in the Premier League last weekend where they picked up a 3-1 triumph over Everton at Goodison Park.
Andriy Yarmolenko was the start performer for the Hammers on the day with his first two goals which came in his maiden league start for the club after four consecutive appearances off the bench.
