Predicted Chelsea XI vs West Ham United

Chelsea make the trip to the London Stadium to face West Ham United in the Premier League on Sunday. The Blues have made the perfect start to the season with five victories from their opening five league games and they have the opportunity to bounce back to the first position with a resounding win over the Hammers.

Formation: 4-3-3

Predicted Lineup:

Kepa Arrizabalaga has been ever-present for the Blues since the season begun and he should reclaim his position between the sticks for the London derby on Sunday.

In defence, Cesar Azpilicueta should return to the fray after his cameo appearance in the Europa League and he is certain to take up the right-back role with Marcos Alonso on the opposite end.

Likewise, David Luiz should reclaim his central defensive role after not making the squad in midweek and he is likely to accompany Antonio Rudiger at the heart of the backline.

Onto the midfield, N'Golo Kante and Jorginho have been certainties since the season begun and they could be accompanied by Mateo Kovacic, who missed the midweek game versus PAOK with a knock.

Further forward, Eden Hazard is expected to start on the left wing after his rest in midweek and he is likely to be partnered by Willian on the other flank, given Pedro's recent knock in the Europa League.

The Spaniard has recently suggested that there is nothing to fear regarding his minor shoulder injury but the Blues are likely to take precaution and start him from the bench.

Upfront, Olivier Giroud impressed last time around with a couple of assists against Cardiff City and this should be sufficient to retain his position with Alvaro Morata drawing blank on Thursday night.
