Solskjaer wants Sancho to replace Sanchez

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has identified Jadon Sancho of Borussia Dortmund as a replacement for Alexis Sanchez in the club's ranks.

Sanchez is due to join Inter Milan on a season-long loan but the Nerazzurri don't necessarily have the option to buy at the end of the campaign.

Still, the Chile international appears to have made his final appearance for the Red Devils and he is likely to be offloaded on a permanent basis by next summer.

According to Standard Sport, Solskjaer does not plan to pursue an immediate replacement for Sanchez, considering there are no quality options in the free transfer market.

It is added that Sancho is the prime candidate on the manager's radar to replace the former Arsenal man, although an approach could be delayed until the conclusion of the season.

Dortmund are said to value Sancho in excess of £120m but they are unlikely to consider any bids for the teenager until the summer of 2020, given their ambition of winning the Bundesliga crown.
