2020 Premier League Football Favourites

The English Premier League is widely regarded as the best football league in the entire world. In fact, by viewing stats, it is the most popular league in the world, with the Spanish La Liga coming in 2nd, and the English Championship coming in 3rd. Whereas England is famous for a lot of things, one thing they have definitely done right is the EPL. Contested by 20 clubs, the EPL basically operates on a system of promotion and relegation. Whereas the top 4 clubs are automatically promoted to the Champion’s League the following season, the bottom 3 clubs are relegated to the Championship and are replaced by 3 teams from the Championship.

We’re roughly halfway into the season now, yet it is still unclear who will win, and who will finish in the top 6. Here’s a look at who to watch, and who to bet on. You can find the top betting bonuses at findbettingsites.co.uk, which can be used to bet on the winners of the premier league or top goals scorers, for example.

Who will win the league?

Okay, we’re now around halfway into the season, and although a lot could change between now (December) and May, many bookies believe that the smart money is on Liverpool. Liverpool came narrowly close to clinching the title last season, but narrowly missed out to Manchester City. They did redeem themselves somewhat, though, as they won the Champion’s League. This season, Jurgen Klopp’s men look hungrier and better than ever, and they are certainly the team to catch. They are currently 8 points clear at the top and are 9/4 odds on favourites to win the 2019/2020 Premiership Title.

Runners up?

Many people already believe that the title race is over, and that the exciting part will come when looking at who is likely to finish in second. Several years ago, if we’d said that Leicester City would be title contenders, you’d have laughed us out of the building. Then, in what many consider to be the greatest season in EPL history, Leicester did the unthinkable and won the title in dominant fashion. Now, Leicester are in 2nd place and are 8 points behind Liverpool, with Jamie Vardy back on his previous title-winning form. Leicester are currently 14/1 to win the title, and with them in such fine form, that may be worth a punt. You can’t discount last season’s champs, though, as Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side look to be back on form after a slight wobble a few weeks back. Currently they are 4/6 odds of winning the title.

Other teams to watch

So, we can probably predict the top 3 at this stage, but who will claim the coveted 4th place spot in order to qualify for the Champion’s League? Well, Chelsea are currently comfortable in 4th place and are 6 points clear of Wolves in 5th. Manchester United are slowly turning things around and are in 6th, but many betters are backing Sheffield United to finish in the top 6. Chris Wilder’s men have been outstanding in the first season at the top in nearly a decade, and despite VAR going against them, they look very capable of clinching 6th.

Why use a betting calculator?

The real money in the EPL comes from the accas. If you want to create an accumulator, a betting calculator will tell you everything you need to know about placing the bet, how much it will cost, and how much you will make.
