Pochettino to replace Solskjaer as United boss?

Manchester United have approached Mauricio Pochettino over the possibility of replacing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their new head coach.

Pochettino has been out of duty since his dismissal at Tottenham Hotspur 12 months ago, but he has been linked with several vacancies.

He has also been associated with the United job over the past year and M.E.N claims that the hierarchy have made contact with him.

United have made a poor start to the current season and they have picked up only seven points from their opening six league games.

Meanwhile, they recently suffered an embarrassing 2-1 European defeat to Istanbul Basaksehir where their defence was all over the place.

As a result, the board are seriously considering the future of Solskjaer and a change could be on the cards, suppose United fail to beat Everton.

The Red Devils will make the trip to Goodison Park on Saturday. They have picked up only one point from the previous two visits to the stadium.
