Guendouzi set to join Marseille

French midfielder Matteo Guendouzi looks set to leave Arsenal when the transfer window reopens this summer, L'Equipe claims.

Guendouzi fell out-of-favour during the backend of the 2019/2020 season following his altercation with Brighton's Neal Maupay.

He was loaned out to Hertha Berlin last summer, and had a decent campaign with two goals and three assists from 24 league games.

Guendouzi has another 13 months left on his Gunners deal, but it appears that he will be shown the exit door in the coming weeks.

The Gunners have been in negotiations with Marseille for the midfielder, and it is claimed that he will join them permanently.

Guendouzi suffered a metatarsal fracture in the last phase of the season, and he is set to miss the knockout stage of the Under-21 Euros.

It was claimed that he could struggle to find suitors because of the foot injury, but that has not been the case.

Alongside Guendouzi, Lucas Torreira could also be offloaded this summer. He was out on loan with Atletico Madrid last term.
