Arsenal can finally sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic

Arsenal have been handed a huge boost in signing Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic at the end of the season.

The Serbian has been a phenomenal performer for Lazio over the past seven-and-a-half years but he is ready to move on this summer.

He has rejected a new contract beyond next season and the Serie A outfit have no choice but to sell him when the current campaign ends.

As per Corriere dello Sport, his agent has already started speaking with interested clubs abroad including Arsenal and Newcastle.

It is added that the Rome outfit are ready to accept a fee in the region of €40 million for the 27-year-old, who has 14 goal contributions this term.

Milinkovic-Savic was approached by the Gunners at the start of the season but was reluctant to join them due to the lack of Champions League football.

However, the Gunners are now on course to return to the competition and they should be favourites to land his services during the summer.
